What we are looking for:
Grammer is looking for a Tool Center Manager & Injection Engineer to join our location in Shannon, MS. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment. This individual will have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our team!
What you will be doing:
- Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial processes, including controlling the capacity of the Injection Molding Area, Injection Molding Machines ("IMMs") and Peripherical Equipment.
- Write the Molds/Machines/Equipment specifications.
- Release Molds/Machines/Equipment.
- Assuring the performance of the Molds and perform the initial Setup of the Molds in an IMM
- Administrate the Process of each Mold and follow up on the Molds Engineering Changes.
- Integrate new Technology and Automation to the IMMs.
- Participate in the Corrective Actions of a Customer Complaint.
- Member of the Launch Team for new Projects.
- Domestic & International travel required up to 15% annually.
What you will bring along:
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Three (3) years of experience as Injection Molding Process Engineer/Supervisor, Plant Manager Injection Molding, or similar role.
- In lieu of the Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience, employer will accept no degree and five (5) years of experience as Injection Molding Process Engineer/Supervisor, Plant Manager Injection Molding, or similar role. Requires
- Three (3) years of experience in plastic injection molding and tooling design which must include : working with Krauss Maffei MC5 or MC6 Controllers; Molds/Injection Molding Machines ("IMMs")/Linear Robots Setup Optimization, Processing and troubleshooting through DOE technics and datasets;
- Continuous development and management of mold specifications for all molds and writing process programs for Krauss Maffei Machines
- Performing Injection Molding filling studies to initiate a Mold Setup; Writing New and Modifying existing robot programs for Krauss Maffei IMMs;
- Continuous Improvement of the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE);
- Audit Process to determine opportunities to increase the productivity and efficiency; Mold Changeovers (SMED) knowledge
- Participation in the evaluation and training of new Mold Process Technicians
- Writing Injection Molding, Drying and Cooling specifications for an optimal process.
