Grammer is looking for a Regional Quality Laboratory Manager to join our location in Tupelo, MS.

The Regional Quality Laboratory Manager position has regional level responsibility for coordinating compliance with the
activities of the Grammer Americas Laboratory. Duties include:
- Develop the training materials required for the Metrology Lab and provide the proper training to the Metrologist and Technicians.
- Manage and control the relevant training for the metrologist such as: Geometrical Dimensions and Tolerances, Drawing reading, usage and care of the dimensional tools, Core Tools, Gage R&R, MSA (Measurement System Analysis)
- Manage and control mandatory documentation.
- Actively lead the implementation of preventive corrective actions and improvement by the client.
- Elaborate, implement and update the procedures and instructions corresponding to the area and / or activities.
- Schedule and coordinate the performance of tests in the laboratory.
- Coordinate the calibration, maintenance and care of measuring and / or testing equipment.
- Contact Vendors for calibration, test and any other service required by the metrology labs.
- Manage the quotation and purchasing of the equipment and services required in the Metrology Lab and for the general measurements in the plant.
- Keep updated the technical documentation and participate actively during internal and external audits.
- Perform the required LPA's (Layered Process Audits) and Product Audits.
- Manage the resources (People and Equipment) necessary to meet customer requirements.
- Develop, perform and maintain the relevant procedures applicable for his area.
- Ensure through direct reports the good performance and integrity of the machinery,equipment, installations, tools and fixed assets of the company assigned to area of responsibility.
- Support safety and environmental activities to comply with current norms and regulations.
- Ensure that Specific Customer Requirements are met.
What you will bring along:
- Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Metrology, Production Processes or Quality Systems
- Three (3) years with: CMM Management (PC Dmis Software or similar), Core Tools, MSA (Measuring system analysis), Interpretation of blueprint, GD&T, GBS mandatories / GPQ / 5Ss / FTA, Calculation of uncertainty / Sound / Vibration / Color, Flammability and explosion tests, pull test, Mini Tab, IATF 16949/ ISO 14001 / Customer certifications / MQS / MES / LPA / BIQS - VDA 6.3.
- Three (3) years of experience as Quality Auditor
- 25% domestic and 4% international travel required
