What we are looking for:
Grammer is looking for a P1 Logistics Planner to join our location in Tupelo, MS. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment. This individual will have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our team!
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Maintain direct contact with the customer to meet the requirements and specifications of the logistics, organize the information and expose those involved. Check the customer’s demand against the capacity of the line to determine possible risks in compliance with the delivery plan. Manage supply of materials and supplies. Work together with the planners, traffic and import logistics, finance, to quote the logistics chain of a new product. Follow the imports of raw material, from the supplier to the plant. Quote and negotiate better rates with national and international transportation providers.
Job Functions:

Qualifications Desired:
- Experience in automotive industry.
- MRPII systems domain. Domain Systems and KAN-BAN JIT
- Numeracy skills and negotiation.
- Knowledge of imports, exports, customs law, NAFTA, and transportation market.
- Knowledge of SAP system.
- Negotiating with suppliers of goods and services.
- Leadership, work under pressure. Management of internal and external relationships.
- Standard, good math skills, Certified in Internal Auditing and in Lead auditing.
- Computer skills that include spread sheets, word processing and charting knowledge.
- Excellent Communication Skills and People Oriented.
- Prefer Business Administration, or similar bachelor’s degree.
- 2-4 years of previous experience as planner
