Grammer is looking for an Injection Molding Process Engineer to join our team at our location in Fayetteville, TN. location. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment and have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our Americas Team!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Identify unstable optimum process windows and targets improvement on any aspect or equipment
  • Report using corresponding software to convey the necessary steps for improvement
  • Provide a monthly report for issues and improvements achieved and completed projects
  • Develop and maintains the standards in the injection molding process and preside sub-assemblies. (hot plate welding, vibrational welding insert molding parts using Sepro robots)
  • Review production, quality, and operating records to resolve technical processing issues
  • Test new materials and processes in order to achieve the best quality, process, and reputability
  • Mentor, motivate, direct, and evaluate Process Technicians and Resin Handlers in the industry’s best practices around performance and efficiency of mentioned positions
  • Identify Continuous improvements project with supporting data in order to assure a benefit sustainable benefit
  • Maintain documentation closely, following necessary timelines on specific projects
  • Program robot
  • Additional duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Versatile with IMM’s, IMM process SEPRO robots, and EOAT (programing and interfacing)
  • 5 years hands-on experience in an injection molding manufacturing environment
  • Familiar with sub-assemblies, secondary or value adding operation; inserts, pressing function, and ultrasonic welding
  • Experience with automotive industry products, assemblies, and launches
  • Experienced in the IM Tooling and ability to work with the tool shop for all tool repair and maintenance.
  • Hands on experience in die setting and clear understanding of best practices
  • Proficient in MS Office products and written communication, e-mails
  • TS 16949 awareness
  • ISO 14001 orientation / awareness training

ADDITION PREFERREDAL EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with Engel, Krauss Maffei, Toshiba, and Cincinnati IMM’s
  • Experience with Sepro part pickers
  • Experience with RJG or Systematic Molding Preferred
  • Experience with Engel, Krauss Maffei, Toshiba, and Cincinnati IMM’s

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Injection molding experience required, blow molding a plus
