Job Description:
The Human Resources and Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing the department’s human, financial, and material resources. This role ensures compliance with regulations, implements organizational strategies, and fosters the development of human talent. Additionally, the manager will ensure adherence to applicable labor laws, maintain positive labor relations, and uphold workplace safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Promote Grammer’s culture and values, serving as a role model within the organization.
- Implement system changes to achieve results aligned with both short- and long-term goals.
- Develop strategies to address current challenges and potential risks through immediate action plans.
- Make high-level decisions, evaluating their impact, quality, and long-term consequences.
- Maintain effective communication across all organizational levels.
- Identify key opinion leaders to foster teamwork and adaptability in diverse environments.
- Serve as the primary contact and advisor for clients in key decisions, demonstrating sensitivity to internal political dynamics.
- Stay informed about market trends and industry developments to establish high-level strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as mandated by Grammer Corporate.
- Understand and apply Mexican labor policies and regulations, ensuring legal compliance.
- Efficiently manage the company's resources.
- Escalate issues according to the escalation protocol and apply the GPQ methodology for resolution.
- Ensure adherence to Safety, Environmental, and Occupational Health Management Systems.
- Comply with the RIT and the Organizational Code of Conduct, representing Grammer’s values.
- Conduct audits and drive continuous process improvements, including LPAs.
- Innovate and implement technological advancements in HR processes.
- Adhere to occupational health and safety (OSH) protocols and health contingency measures, such as COVID-19 guidelines.
- Establish salaries and wages in accordance with the company’s salary structure.
- Approve plant equipment departures and verify department travel expenses.
- Halt any processes or activities that compromise employee safety or violate regulations.
- Develop HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Define talent acquisition and retention strategies.
- Implement career development and succession planning initiatives.
- Manage labor relations, including negotiations with unions.
- Define and oversee employee benefits and compensation plans.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal policies, and current legislation.
- Prepare reports for senior management.
- Optimize HR services to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Requirements:
- Experience in Strategic Planning and Organizational Development.
- Strong knowledge of Labor Relations (LFT), Benefits, and Compensation.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory standards, including IATF, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and NOM-STPS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced skills in Excel and HR ERP systems.
