Grammer is now hiring a full-time CMM Engineering
The technician at our Tiffin, OH location.
The CMM Engineering Technician is responsible for developing,
maintaining, and generating CMM programs used to inspect and verify both launch
and production materials and components to ensure that customer and internal
quality targets are met. Reviews blueprints and specifications to establish
correct inspection criteria, Proficient in GD & T. Follow all IATF
16949:2016 requirements.
Job Functions:
·
Perform Dimensional Layouts and generate
reports in the AIAG format.
·
Keep lab scope updated.
·
Perform capability reports as required.
·
Write CMM program using Romer arm and
Polyworks Software
·
Maintain and gauge calibration system:
Ensuring all fixtures and hand-held gauges are calibrated as per the
established calibration frequency for each gauge/fixture.
·
Perform R & R studies.
·
Manage the maintenance and calibration of the
CMM machine to ensure its proper performance and produce accurate measurement results.
·
Purchase gauges as required by the plant.
·
Work with Engineering to develop fixture
concepts/designs and source out fixture build.
·
When necessary, support the quality function
in in-process inspection, containment, and problem-solving.
·
Implement and sustain 5S within the CMM room.
·
Confirm fixtures to CAD data when new fixtures
arrive.
Job Requirements:
·
Minimum one-year CMM programming experience
·
Minimum of three years working in an
automotive environment, preferably plastic molding
·
Experience in automotive requirements and
standards, PPAP submission, control plan, & PFMEA development, Geometric
dimension and tolerance, Statistical Process Control, and Process capability
study.
·
Good working knowledge of IATF 16949:2016
·
Strong/ methodical problem-solving skills-
proficient in the 8D method and 5P method
·
Proficiency in related computer software
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS project)
